Why don’t they teach real life economics at school? Borrowing, saving, interest, investment. These would be useful skills for later life, right? When was the last time you used Pythagoras’ theorem?
Well, the team at the British museum asked the same question when they briefed us to produce an online series about money and everyday economics for young people.
We wanted to produce something non-patronising and engaging, we didn’t want to talk down to the audience. So we teamed up with battle rapper, poet and mathematician Harry Baker and sent him on a journey of discovery, allowing the audience to learn with him.
And to add some dynamism, we utilised animation to visualise key points and provide segways into each scene.
